I think Vicky’s having an affair

1. In the last two weeks he has paid me as many compliments. Major ones too.

2. He offered to go get me a shawarma after I whined for one for a day.

3. He apologised twice in two days for things that were his fault.

The signs are all there, aren’t they? He hasn’t brought me flowers or chocolates yet but as soon as he does I need to Google for a good divorce lawyer.

...

On a diff note, major parenting milestone for me this morning. I wrote my first letter as a guardian for absenteeism. Felt weird writing it, almost like I ought to ask Baba to write and email it to me or something, because obviously no teacher will accept a letter written by me!

Sighhhhh....shawarma. Tks for the reminder. I will whine for one too:)

Vicky's not having an affair. He's going to ask you for something...and is buttering you up. Brace yourself ;)

LOL!
i think i agree with starry eyed. something big coming up!

Starry, Mon -- Two weeks of buttering up? I know you're trying to make me feel better but really, he's not the kind to sustain that kind of effort!

that bucket on his head- might have stopped the oxygen flow for a moment- causing the age old hindi film medical situation " main kaun hun?"

Yes, thats it, he has forgotten who he is.

Now use age old tried and tested hindi film remedy- a hard knock on the head- he will bounce back as the lousy guy who never buys flowers.

What a nice, suspicious wife you are!

Hmmmm. Ask him for a diamond necklace. Or an iPod. Or an unllimited shopping spree at Oxford. Then you'll know for sure!

And on a different note, shawarmas? Slurp!! Where, where, where? I just know Forum...

Sue said...

Sur -- Have you seen the Powell-Loy movie I Love You Again?

Abha -- Maybe. Why suddenly now, eh?

Dipali -- Arre, you're the one who threatened to bop the SRE if he sent you any more flowers. :)

M4 -- We have an iPod, I don't want to shop at Oxford and I don't do diamonds any more but I did ask for sarees and he said he'd buy me some as soon as he had some money in the bank. If this doesn't point to an affair... :(

Shawarmas are available at the Spencers' food court in South City but they are not as good as the ones in Forum.

LOL you cartoon you. With a hot itum like you by his side, why would he need to go off and have an affair eh? I go by what the others said - he needs a BIG favour from you :)

- I was so good at'creating' leave letters when I was young(don't ask me when)...I still am..any help?.my boy is lucky isn't he :b

You are a cartoon, Sue. And I totally agree on what you said - no teacher will accept a letter written by you. They'd probably think Bhablet cheated by getting an older sis write it. And no more fishing. Ok?

Leave letters...I dread writing those. Try to remember all those rules learned eons back..yes its a important milestone.

Twice in two days, thats an average of one apology a day.

Dreadful, ill be worried.

Oh that magic feeling, nowhere to go :)

you've been watching too much oprah!

Ron said...

Maybe its advanced age catching up...I frequently find myself being very kind to the Boy even when he has done something truly meltdown worthy. Its age I tell you!! Siigh.

Beq said...

And I think you're deeply bored...

Poppy said...

Dude, do a post. It's boring here - a nice long post about the Pujo and his highness birthday would be just fine.

Sue said...

Poppy -- Turns out he was just feeling affectionate. Whoda thunk...

Gayatri -- LOL! I've written plenty for my father to sign. It was weird to be the one who drafted and wrote and signed the whole thing!

Subha -- :P To get that from you, of all people... what is the world coming to!

Anu -- LOL! Yes, huge milestone.

Infrancaninophile -- See reply to Poppy above.

Beq-boy -- We went to Vizag, actually, heh!

Pink -- You can't pin that on me, dude, we don't even have cable TV. :)

Ron -- Age is a good explanation. Vicky is old and therefore acting nice. I am not and therefore am not. Eh?

Beq -- Did I sound bored? Bored because Vicky's being nice??

Popsicle -- Ask and you shall receive. Har har har
