Wow! You can actually MAKE a dress! Aren't you too young to be this talented, girlie? :)

And why be just Nureyev's pupils when you gals can very well be Margot Fontyens? :)

Dream big girl...Sylvie Guillem, Margot Fonteyn, Anna Pavlova...take your pick. The world is your stage.
Great pic, very expressive.

Mystic, Aparna -- We-ell... to put it tactfully, Shuki and I aren't the best dancers you'll find. :)

Mystic -- Dressmaking is only as complicated as the pattern you've chosen!

Parul -- :) I loved the title, it's by Vicky.

Starry-eyed -- LOL! I never noticed the dog. Anyway, FYI, it's a shingho-bagh (lion-tiger), I'm informed by The Bhabbles.

Poppy -- This one time, I do not take it as a compliment. Me at my midnight rattiest is not a sight for the faint-hearted.

a standing ovation is in order, for the dancers,
the dress,
doting shingho-bagh,
and might i add, those wonderful black and whites hanging above the door.
garbo? and the others? cant see too clearly...

and you might be at your rattiest best, but thats one hell of a pretty and graceful rat.

Sur, IBH -- The framed pictures are photographs re-done by Vicky. Peck, Lamarr and Bogart, left to right. Very nice stuff. On the left wall (not in pic) I have my two James Stewarts. From when the man loved me and made me things.

Dot -- Yeah, I am indeed making a dress. I have almost finished mine and started work on Shuki's in earnest last night.

Abha -- Who's fishing, dude? I see ratty hair and ancient dungarees. Be pleased to see me through your eyes, though. :)

My mum's a fantastic tailor so I grew up watching her at it. I'm good with the theory. Now learning the practice!

They've been in the house more than three years, five more since they were created and you still don't get them right. From when I made you things indeed!

Once again: Cary Grant from Suspicion, Hedy Lamarr studio portrait and Humphrey Bogart Publicity shot from Casablanca.

Peck?? How can you mix the two up?

Sue said...

Vicky -- Mistoook! I meant Grant of course. Come on. You're talking to the person who said Michael Jackson when she meant George Michael.

all I can say is it's a good thing sona doesn't read your blog else he would stop speaking to you. then again, if he doesn't speak to you the next time you know he does.

Vicky -- Sona doesn't read my blog, relax. And of course he'd talk to me. His expectations of me are not very high, you know!

Avanti -- I'd do it with pleasure but I worked out a pattern of my own, so it was adjusting after cutting. I'll mail you.
